  14. My boca V34IM modem was working fine with win3.1, then i installed win95, a=
  15. ll=20
  16. was still fine - i could use hypaterminal and access my isp using trumpet=20
  17. winsock no problem. Then I installed the win95 dialup networking programs a=
  18. nd=20
  19. lo, I have big problems ! The problems are as follows:
  20. 1) Now hypaterminal comes up with the remote computers login prompt but=20
  21. whatever I type is not echo'd back to my screen, hence I cant login.
  22. 2) Using the dial up networking I can type in my username,pwd and protocol =
  23. in=20
  24. the black terminal window (then hit f7) but after 'verifying username &=20
  25. password' I always get the msg 'could not negotiate a compatible set of=20
  26. protocols....'
  27. 3) Terminal (as in win3.1) dials, handshakes but then hangs with either no=
  28. =20
  29. tone and a blank terminal screen or with a constant tone and a blank termin=
  30. al=20
  31. screen.

  33. If anyone has any ideas how to get around this id appreciate your advice,
